V Online School: Online School Platform on WordPress

The client

V Online School is a fully online school in Pakistan for Nursery to Grade 10. It aims to make quality education affordable and accessible to every child, wherever they live, through self-paced learning, live group classes and one-to-one tutoring.

The brief

Build the whole school on WordPress: everything a student, parent, teacher and the school office needs, from registration and fees to daily lessons, live classes, attendance and results.

What I did

Student dashboard: a custom “My Class” area with today’s classes, lessons, quizzes, attendance, fee status, live classes and profile, for students and teachers.
Quick registration: a sign-up popup with email OTP verification, captcha and cooldowns, account creation and fee plan selection, plus HTML welcome, approval and password reset emails.
Fees and payments: scan-to-pay QR codes and bank details, receipt uploads, fee approval, receipts and payment history for the school office.
Interactive lessons and quizzes: 19 lesson layouts and 17 quiz layouts built for young learners, with intro screens, answer sounds, progress tracking and content locked until fees are approved.
Live classes on Zoom: scheduling, start and join from the dashboard, and attendance from who actually joined.
Learning time and results: a learning time tracker with streaks, quiz results and printable report cards.
School Control Panel: one admin area for students, fees, teachers, holidays, class schedules, learning modes, messages, reports and an audit log, with its own roles and permissions.
Custom data layer: 12 custom database tables for progress, attendance, fees, messages and live sessions.
Content and resources: classes, events, a digital library, moral stories, poems, safety lessons and a blog, built with Elementor on the Eduma education theme.
Security: nonces and capability checks on every request, sanitized input, escaped output and restricted uploads.
